Eligibility Criteria for the NZ Straight to Residence Visa

You can apply for the Straight to Residence visa if –

• You are 55 years or under when the application is lodged
• You meet the English language requirements
• You are working in New Zealand for an accredited employer or have a job offer from one
• Your role must be on Tier 1 of New Zealand’s Green List
• You must meet the Green List requirements for the role
• You can apply for this visa from outside New Zealand or you can come to New Zealand on a work visa and then apply for the Straight to Residence Visa

• You can work, study & live in New Zealand
• Your partner and dependent children aged 24 years & below can be included in your residence application. To include children in your application, they must be:
• Single
• Not have any children of their own
• Financially supported by you
• This visa allows you to stay in New Zealand indefinitely
